Kyle Dumpel, LPC
ABOUT KYLE:
Hi there! Before being a therapist, I, too, am a human. I believe in making therapy a comfortable, playful, and deeply safe space where you can be exactly who you are. I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor with a Master’s degree in Counseling from Boise State University, and I am absolutely thrilled to support children, teens, and adults on their journeys toward growth and healing. A FEW WORDS FROM KYLE: When working with kids and younger teens, I use a child-centered play therapy approach that prioritizes building a strong therapeutic relationship. With older teens and adults, I utilize a humanistic, person-centered approach to create a supportive environment where we can explore conversations you may have never had before. I have experience working with neurodivergent individuals, including those navigating ADHD and Autism, as well as clients dealing with trauma, anxiety, and self-esteem challenges. I am EMDR trained and focus heavily on somatics to help get the mind and body in sync again. I also utilize parts work (through an Internal Family Systems lens) to help you understand that the different parts within you are not bad; my goal is to help you welcome, accept, and support them on your growth journey. Therapy can get hard, but I strive to remain an optimistic, positive, and supportive presence through it all OTHER INTERESTS: In my spare time, I love hanging out with friends and loved ones, especially if it involves going out for Korean BBQ. I like staying active by running and playing sports. When I am taking time to relax, you can usually find me reading, listening to music, or watching my favorite TV shows and movies. "I am a leaf on the wind. Watch how I soar."
