Brooke Bailey, LMSWABOUT BROOKE:
Brooke earned her Master’s degree from University of Denver in Social Work with an emphasis in Mental Health. She has experience working alongside children, teens, and adults to help them achieve their therapeutic goals using a variety of modalities. Brooke regularly works with individuals that are seeking counseling for anxiety, depression, self-esteem, and trauma. Prior to her role as a therapist, she has engaged with adolescents in various settings and has also worked with folks that have a refugee background. A FEW WORDS FROM BROOKE: As a therapist, I use a person-centered and strengths-based approach to ensure that my client’s needs are central to the change process. I pull from a variety of techniques from different therapy models; sessions will be tailored to each individual person based on their unique needs. Through Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), I help clients acknowledge and embrace their wide range of thoughts and emotions. I also use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients understand the connection between their thoughts, behaviors, and emotions. When working with children, I use Play Therapy to help clients and their families explore emotional expression and regulation, heal from trauma, and navigate life transitions as a child. Attachment theory guides conversations with my clients about their early attachments and their impact on their interpersonal relationships. I see therapy as a collaborative process with my clients and believe that everyone has the capacity to change and grow. The therapy session is a safe space to explore emotions and behaviors, seek understanding, build upon strengths, and practice skills together. OTHER INTERESTS: I enjoy being outdoors in various capacities (especially trail running!), drinking a good cup of coffee (or matcha) with friends, spending time with family, and creating pottery. I’m looking forward to connecting with you soon! "If a man is to live, he must be all alive, body, soul, mind, heart, spirit."
