Nicole Scott, LMSWABOUT NICOLE:
Nicole began her career as a mental health therapist in 2011 when she graduated from Boise State University with her Masters in Social Work. Through her journey as a therapist, Nicole has found that modern therapy combined with other forms of healing can produce great results. Nicole is licensed mental health social worker who uses a holistic and integrative approach when working with her clients. A FEW WORDS FROM NICOLE: My goal is to facilitate a deep healing experience by integrating some of the best-evidenced based psychotherapy treatments with mindfulness and relaxation techniques. I use EMDR, Emotion Code, and Internal Family Systems Therapy, among others, to address specific issues such as depression and anxiety and to treat trauma. During your sessions, we can use techniques like mindfulness to raise your awareness, which creates a smoother release of stuck emotions, unhealthy relationship patterns, or unwanted habitual behaviors. The important thing is that you feel safe so you can be more relaxed, which assists and eases the healing process or specific therapy that we are using. Throughout the therapeutic experience you will learn and practice invaluable tools to help maintain a healthier state. OTHER INTERESTS: When I am not working with clients, I love camping and the great outdoors. I want to travel extensively through South and Central America. I am also in the process of learning Spanish. When I am not outside, I enjoy singing and dancing with my two daughters. "Until you acknowledge the genius in yourself, you will have difficulty recognizing it in others."
