Everyone’s truth deserves respect; every client will have the opportunity to be heard and the opportunity to collaborate with an empathic and caring professional. A FEW WORDS FROM SARAH: Whatever your reasons for seeking counseling, when you step into my office, you will be treated with respect, compassion, and validation. I believe that, in this moment, everyone is doing the best they can with what they know. With knowledge and understanding, we are able to grow and change unhealthy behaviors and thought patterns into healthy ones. The work I do with my clients is collaborative – we create a treatment plan together; with goals you want to work on. We achieve these goals by building skills, improving understanding, gaining insight into how these behaviors got started in the first place, and by increasing resources in your life. Addressing your needs, strengths, misunderstandings, and hurts requires compassion, empathy, patience, and flexibility. My goal as your counselor is to show you (yourself) through my eyes and to help you see how remarkable you can become. OTHER INTERESTS: Sarah enjoys reading books about travel, visiting bookstores, and collecting cute animal-shaped earrings. She is also passionate about learning new concepts. She loves art from the 19th century and checking out museums. Sarah especially loves spending time with her spouse and their cat, Lola. “Accept yourself, love yourself, and keep moving forward. If you want to fly, you have to give up what weighs you down.”
