Brittany Cardenas, LPCABOUT BRITTANY:
Brittany earned her Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Palo Alto University. She has experience providing individual and family therapy as well as running support groups. She has worked with people from all ages and walks of life! A FEW WORDS FROM BRITTANY: Being vulnerable in counseling is necessary, but it can also be challenging. My main priority as a therapist is cultivating an environment where you can be transparent without fearing judgment. I create a safe space with warmth, humor, and a new perspective. I am passionate about helping clients understand their communication styles and build healthier relationships. My interests include self-esteem building, identity exploration, anger issues, PMDD, and Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. I use a holistic approach to my treatment, considering the client’s environment and lifestyle. I utilize a variety of modalities, such as Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy, Humanistic Therapy, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). I do frequent check-ins regarding modalities and treatment approaches as I want to find solutions that work best for my clients. I look forward to meeting you! OTHER INTERESTS: I also have a background in film and media production. This is still very much a passion of mine! When I am not in the therapy chair, you can find me checking out a new movie, taking photos, or hanging out with my family. I also love being outside and around nature. "The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change."
