Kyle Carpenter, LPCABOUT KYLE:
Kyle earned his Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Corban University and his undergraduate degrees from NNU (Northwest Nazarene University). He has worked with adults, adolescents/teens, and families. He has experience with a variety of age groups and populations and has more extensive experience with anxiety, depression, trauma, spiritual or identity exploration, chronic illness, and addictions. He is culturally and trauma informed and supports individuals with processing and redefining their relationship with the parts of self. He aims to provide an identity affirming and relaxed place for individuals to take the steps towards further freedom, creativity, and confidence. A FEW WORDS FROM KYLE: I enjoy mindfulness somatic, EMDR, humanistic, and internal family systems strategies primarily, yet I also pull from existential and thought-based practices. Our bodies and minds are often running at a disconnect. I have learned that this disconnect can wreak havoc if not properly addressed. Things like trauma or anxiety, can oftentimes leave us fragmented and without integration of clarity and safety. Together, we will get you back on track with more clarity and internal connection to achieve your goals. OTHER INTERESTS: I am originally from a small Idaho town but have ventured out living in both Portland and Eugene and have enjoyed traveling quite a bit across the world. I enjoy music and art, boarding of any kind, playing/writing music on guitar, and spending time with kind and authentic individuals. "Another kind of happiness exists that you can feel steadily whether you are in a relationship or not. It comes from a connectedness that happens when all your parts see and trust one another and feel accepted by the Self."
