If you are expecting a video call (teletherapy) invitation but don't see it. Check your Junk/Spam folders. We have found, most of the time, they are being sent there.
If it is still not there and you are unable to join the session, your therapist will call you.
Lauren Sanchez is now conducting all sessions using online video therapy. If you are a client of Lauren's, please complete the START TELETHERAPY NOW steps to be ready for your next appointment.
Heather, Linda, Crista, and Robbie are all conducting in-person therapy unless otherwise requested by the client.
No doubt, you have been hearing a great deal about the spread of COVID-19 (Novel Coronavirus). We know you are probably already taking steps to protect you and your family’s physical health. We want to encourage you to also take care of your mental/emotional health during this stressful time.
When it comes to therapy, we are fortunate to have the option of switching to video sessions if that's preferable, so that sessions can continue even when it is not advisable to meet in person. If you would prefer video sessions instead of coming in (even if you are not having symptoms) we can absolutely arrange for this. Let us know, so we will support you in any way possible, including answering all the questions you might have about Teletherapy.
The plan going forward is for us to continue offering in-person sessions. (With the exception of Lauren Sanchez: Lauren’s clients, please check this UPDATE page for more information). We want you to know that you have the option for Teletherapy sessions. We are leaving it up to you with the intention to do our part in protecting your health while responding proportionately to the actual risk. Our goal is to continue to support you and reduce the chances of exposure if needed.
When it comes to understanding the necessary precautions and this virus, we ask that you keep your eyes on the science. Not only will you have more accurate information, but it will also keep your emotions at more manageable levels. For the most up to date and accurate information about the virus, follow the CDC and World Health Organization.
If you wish to continue sessions in person, there are certain commitments we need from each other to ensure that we are both safe:
If you are sick, do not come to in-person sessions. If you have a fever, we ask that you do not come to the office until your temperature has stayed below 100.4 degrees for 24 hours or more, without the help of fever-reducing or other symptom-altering medicine - this is in accordance with CDC recommendations. Arrangements for video sessions can be made in this scenario.
Canceling in-person or Teletherapy sessions because you are not feeling well is encouraged. If cancellations are less than 24-hours, depending on the circumstances, we may waive our usual cancellation fee.
We want to give guidance on what you may expect from us as things develop:
If we are sick, we will cancel all in-person sessions. We will make arrangements to conduct video sessions.
If we become too ill to provide appropriate treatment, even via Teletherapy, you will be contacted.
Depending on new regulations and guidance by the state and federal government, we may have to stop conducting in-person sessions and switch to Teletherapy for the time being. If this happens, we will notify you via phone or email.
We know you may also have concerns regarding insurance coverage and cost for Teletherapy sessions. We have received updates from many insurance companies (almost all) stating they will now cover Teletherapy (in the interest of social distancing and limiting exposure to the COVID19 virus) even if Teletherapy would not have been covered in the past. As always, though, the best way to know for sure is to call your insurance company and ask.
We hope this information is helpful. Please let us know if you have any questions.
Thank You and Be Well,
